We would like to remind you that the standard rate of VAT was temporarily reduced to 15% on 1st December 2008 and will return to the previous level of 17.5% on 1st January 2010. The 17.5% VAT rate will be applied on all products on 1st January 2010.

Many customers will be aware that the Communications Workers Union has announced strikes for Royal Mail personnel during the period October 22nd to October 23rd 2009.

Server software is working hard to minimise the impact on customers during this period, adding staff at our fulfilment centres to process customer orders quickly and working with a number of carriers to secure alternative delivery arrangements.

Some orders could take 1-2 days longer than usual to be delivered.

Please note that while we have updated the Estimated Delivery Dates provided after you place your order with Server software, to reflect our current best estimate of the impact of the Royal Mail strike on delivery times, some deliveries may be delivered after the Estimated Delivery Date given.

Server Software are proud to announce that we have developed and release an OpenSearch connector for Windows 7 Federated Search.

Windows 7 enables searching for content on remote locations right from the Explorer itself. Integrating federated search into Windows gives you the user the benefits of using familiar tools and workflows to search remote data. This enhanced integration provides the added benefit of highlighting matches within the searched document.

All you have to do is download the ServerSoftware.osdx file to your Windows 7 desktop and double click the file, select add when asked.
